Continuing down toward the lakefront from the temple leads to Bagore Ki Haveli, an elegant, eighteenth-century mansion situated right on the water at Gangaur Ghat. Built by Amir Chand Badwa, who was the Prime Minister of Mewar, this historic haveli has over a hundred rooms, each arranged around beautiful, open-air inner courtyards. After falling into decay, the haveli was painstakingly restored by the West Zone Cultural Centre and now operates as a museum that offers an authentic glimpse into the daily life of the Mewar nobility.
